How did the Sabres go from being #1 to #10 in two years?

I think that the Sabres are made a big mistake trading all of these key players that got the Sabres in the Top 8. In the 2007-2008 season they were number one in the league and they went to the Stanley Cup Finals and even though they still lost, they had a great season that year. When it came down to keeping Briere and Drury, they basically let them walk right out. The Sabres manager did that to other former sabres too, like Lafontaine, Peca, McKee, and other key players. Are the sabres managers cheap or did the former sabres just get sick of Buffalo and left? What do you think?

I disagree with the decision to trade Briere and Drury. They were two of the best players we had and we went and made a crappy move by offering them a stupid amount of money for the season.

It made me angry, but that picture of them two together is so cute! ^^

well i don't think we should have traded them but we shouldn't be doing so bad because we lost them, someone need to step up. The other captains should step up and change things and start winning!!! GO SABRES!!

I think they made a mistake too..they should have offered them more money to stay and we would still be winning. But, Max is still good :)

Pride comes before a fall. I think they became to self conceited and began to work as individuals rather than a team.
